FPS to milliseconds calculator: frame time

Convert FPS to frame time in milliseconds with 1000 ÷ FPS. Compare a game’s frame interval with display refresh rate; no device benchmark or upload.

Frame-time calculator

Shorter frame intervals allow more frames per second. An average does not reveal stutter or measure total input latency.

Why can 60 FPS still feel uneven? ↗

Convert FPS to milliseconds

Input
60 FPS; display refresh rate 144 Hz
Result
16.67 ms per frame; 6.94 ms per display refresh

Frame interval in ms = 1000 ÷ FPS. The display interval is 1000 ÷ Hz. These are different intervals: a 144 Hz screen does not turn a 60 FPS game into 144 rendered FPS. The calculator does not measure your PC or end-to-end input lag.

When is this useful?

Know the limits

This is arithmetic, not a device benchmark. It does not measure frame pacing, input latency or network delay.

Privacy

Processing happens in the browser; tool inputs and files are not sent to a server. Hosting still receives ordinary page requests. If you consent to optional analytics, the site records an operation type without its content. Local saving is optional.

Practical questions

Do I need an account?

No. It works directly in a modern browser.

Is local storage required?

Operations do not require saving. Bookmarks and checklist persistence use storage only when requested or enabled.

Does a result guarantee accuracy or safety?

This is arithmetic, not a device benchmark. It does not measure frame pacing, input latency or network delay.
