An offset matters when converting temperature
- Input
- Temperature: 0 °C → °F
- Result
- 32 °F
Fahrenheit = Celsius × 9/5 + 32. Temperature is not a simple multiplication of the value. For storage and volume, also check labels such as MB versus MiB and US versus imperial gallons.
Useful situations
- Convert a measurement for coursework or a specification.
- Compare a file limit expressed in MB and MiB.
Limits and supported formats
No currency, calendar-month or time-zone conversion. US and Imperial gallons are separate. Temperatures below absolute zero are rejected; rounding reflects JavaScript precision.
