Grade and weighted average calculator

Calculate a weighted grade from scores, maximum marks and weights. See the total weight so missing coursework does not silently become a zero.

Privacy first — Your selected file or text is processed locally in your browser on your device. Its contents are not uploaded to or stored on LA24X servers.

Leave unmarked scores blank. A typed zero counts. Weights are normalized by their actual total.

Choose your options and run the tool. Your result will appear here.

How to use it

  1. Add the marked assessments and their maximum scores.
  2. Enter each weight; leave unmarked scores blank.
  3. Calculate and check the total weight used.

A weighted average with a zero score

Input
Assessment A: 0/100, weight 1; assessment B: 90/100, weight 3
Result
67.5% across the entered assessments

The calculation is (0 × 1 + 90 × 3) ÷ 4. A zero score is included; an empty score is unmarked and excluded. This is not a promised final course grade when assessments are still missing.

Useful situations

  • Estimate a course average from completed assessments.
  • Combine subjects whose maximum marks differ.

Limits and supported formats

Up to 100 rows. Blank scores are excluded; a typed zero is included. Weights are normalized by their sum, even if it is not 100. No prediction of pass/fail or university-specific rounding.

Questions about this tool

What if my weights total only 60?

The result describes the entered work normalized over 60. It is not automatically your final course grade.
