How to use it
- Select a supported image.
- Enter the new width; the height follows its aspect ratio.
- Resize, inspect the dimensions and download.
Worked example
- Input
- Image: 1600 × 900 px; target width: 800 px
- Result
- 800 × 450 px
Keeping the aspect ratio halves both dimensions. This changes pixel dimensions; it does not guarantee a particular file size in KB.
Useful situations
- Prepare a photo for a document or website.
- Reduce dimensions instead of relying on ZIP compression.
Limits and supported formats
Static PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 10 MiB, 20 megapixels and 8192px per edge; output up to 4096px. No SVG, GIF, HEIC or animation. JPEG flattens transparency onto white. Browser colour conversion can vary; keep the original. Upscaling creates more pixels, not recovered detail.

Questions about this tool
Is resizing the same as reducing JPEG quality?
No. Resizing changes pixel dimensions; quality changes encoding. Use the compressor when you need to tune both.
