Image compressor without upload

Reduce a photo’s file size locally with JPEG or WebP quality controls. Compare before and after sizes, preview the output and download a copy.

Privacy first — Your selected file or text is processed locally in your browser on your device. Its contents are not uploaded to or stored on LA24X servers.

How to use it

  1. Choose a static image.
  2. Set format, quality and maximum width, or an optional target size.
  3. Compress, inspect the preview and download the new copy.

Understand the size saving

Input
Illustrative original: 800 KiB; output: 200 KiB
Result
600 KiB smaller; 75% saving

This is a size calculation, not a promise that every photo will compress by 75%. An already optimized image can become larger. Inspect fine text, faces and transparency in the output before using it. The size target is best effort.

Useful situations

  • Fit a photo within an upload limit.
  • Prepare a lighter image for a webpage or message.

Limits and supported formats

Static PNG, JPEG or WebP up to 10 MiB, 20 megapixels and 8192px per edge; output up to 4096px. No SVG, GIF, HEIC or animation. JPEG flattens transparency onto white. Browser colour conversion can vary; keep the original. A requested target is best-effort and explicitly reported if unreachable; negative savings means the output is larger.

Privacy

We do not store tool content or results. Optional usage events do not include files, filenames, text, passwords or QR contents. Reset when finished and save any output you need on your own device.

Questions about this tool

Can it always reach my target size?

No. Image detail, dimensions and format affect the result. Reduce dimensions or choose a lossy format and review quality; the tool never labels a larger result as a saving.
