Epic Games refunds: check the platform and purchase label
Use the correct Epic refund rule for PC/Mac or mobile, locate Transactions and submit through the available refund route.
In brief
Epic’s policy is not one time limit for every platform. Current PC/Mac eligible purchases generally need a request within 14 days and less than two hours of runtime; eligible mobile purchases have a two-hour purchase window.
Checking the product’s refundable label before playing more helps you decide whether to troubleshoot or request a refund now.
Match the rule to the purchase
For a PC or Mac game, inspect the 14-day and under-two-hour conditions rather than assuming every digital item qualifies. For iOS or Android store purchases covered by Epic’s policy, check the shorter mobile rule. A purchase from a different storefront must be handled under that seller’s applicable process.
Use the actual transaction
Open the order in Transactions and use its offered refund action. If it is labelled refundable but not self-refundable, contact Epic through the official support route. Describe the product and issue without exposing credentials. A missing button alone does not explain all possible eligibility conditions.
Keep confirmation and check the destination
Epic normally uses the original payment method where possible, subject to its policy and agreed alternatives. Keep the request confirmation and follow the same case if needed. Do not use repeated purchase-and-refund cycles to treat the policy as a free rental service.
Before you act
The product must meet the policy’s refundable or self-refundable conditions. Consumables, bans and purchases through other sellers can have different rules.
What to do next
- Identify the platform, purchase date, recorded runtime and product’s refund label.
- Sign in to Epic account Transactions and select the purchase.
- Use Refund for an eligible self-refundable item, or contact official support for the appropriate refundable request.
